MIMS Mobile Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is MIMS Mobile?

MIMS Mobile is a channel of MIMS optimized to be used on mobile handheld devices, such as iPhone. MIMS Mobile is a website, so you need to be connected to Internet to use it. The format of the website is optimised for the size and shape of mobile handheld devices screens.

2. Can I access MIMS Mobile data offline?

You can download the data from MIMS Mobile website onto your device and use it when you are not connected to Internet. Please note that MIMS Mobile has been developed with HTML5 capable devices in mind and not all devices support the offline features. In order to access your downloaded data you will need to create a bookmark in your browser or a shortcut on your home screen.

3. How do I download MIMS Mobile data for offline use?

Please click the "Use MIMS Offline" button on your MIMS Mobile login screen, log into the website and follow the onscreen instructions. You can find some helpful screenshots here.

4. How do I get MIMS Mobile if I am not employed by a District Health Board?

You can make your own subscription to MIMS Mobile, to organise it please call 0508 464 676 or email support@mims.co.nz.

5. How do I update my MIMS Mobile?

MIMS Mobile is regularly updated by our technicians, so when you access it online it is always up to date. If you download MIMS Mobile data onto your device for offline use you will need to update it monthly, MIMS will prompt you when update is required.
